Secured $60,000+ (to date) in grant support for Howe Elementary Community School
Organized a grant funded weekend meal program which served 750 families weekly, lasted 9 weeks
Implemented first school-based vision program with comprehensive vision exams offered to all students in-need and a school-based pair of glasses provided free of charge
Coordinated community volunteers and developed 5 community routes to deliver critical meals to students during virtual learning. Served 2,355 meals over 8 weeks to 35 families.
Served 16 high needs elementary schools in collaboration with St. Norbert College to provide 1,260 monthly snack bags to assist students in virtual learning
Led cultural responsiveness work that brought representative and diverse texts and picture books into 18 classrooms
Orchestrated the installation of a new playground mural which required partnerships with area non-profits, the City, and the State

Planned and led the fall semester of academic and service learning experiences
Taught human rights principles and led academic discussions on human rights, race, poverty, power, history and indigenous rights

The team is focused on providing opportunities for K-12 students as well as post-secondary students to connect with internet-enabled devices as well as adequate internet access.
